Whistle Dog Training

If you want to try whistle training with your Pit Bull, the first step is to get a high-quality whistle with which to issue instructions. Using your own mouth to do the whistling isn’t a good idea. Your pitch would change, and if you wanted to issue a command to your dog from a distance, he may not hear you. For these reasons, a high-quality metal whistle is preferable.
Come when called is one whistle command you may teach your dog. Using his feeding time as a starting point is an excellent approach to achieve this. Give two brief bursts on the whistle when you place your dog's food down at mealtime. Continue doing this at each meal for three weeks. Always remember to utilize the correct amount of whistle blasts.
After approximately three weeks of mealtime whistling, try blowing the same order when your Dog is not anticipating a food. Make sure you have a pleasant present waiting for him, since when he does arrive, you'll want to thank him with a tasty snack and a soothing massage.
